This sets how far Realm projects debt payoff, goal growth, and asset snapshots.
Focus month
Goal progress, projection callouts, and the snapshot use this same date.
Set bucket targets here. Phase switches are optional rules that redirect future allocation after a target or payoff is reached.

Audit
Statement audit
Upload bank PDFs separately from credit card PDFs so charges, payments, and transfers are interpreted with the right sign logic.
Bank statements
Debits are spending or transfers. Deposits are income unless marked otherwise.
Credit card statements
Charges become spending. Payments and credits are kept out of spending totals.
Extracted files
Import saved audit JSON, CSV, or text exports.
Private mode keeps audit rows out of autosave and exported plan files. After correcting a row, click Learn to remember only a cleaned merchant/category hint in this browser.
No audit transactions loaded.
Advanced debt details
Add each card or loan with its balance and APR. Turn rows off to keep them stored but leave them out of the current projection.

Advanced income and events
Add an event group, then add one or more dated amounts inside it. New groups stay at the top as drafts until edited, then follow the selected sort.
Optional: choose how new income events split across buckets.

Privacy statement
Local calculator mode
Realm can be used without an account. In this mode, your plan, saved scenarios, statements, and transactions stay in this browser unless you choose to export a file.
Statement audit
When you use the audit tools, PDF statements are read on your device by the browser. Realm uses that information to help you review transactions without sending the statement file to a Realm server. Private audit mode keeps itemized audit rows out of autosave and exported plan files.
Local learning
Auto-categorize can learn from corrections only when you click Learn on a reviewed audit row. Realm stores cleaned merchant/category hints in this browser. It does not upload transactions or use a cloud AI service in this local calculator mode, and you can clear the learning from the Audit tab.
Optional cloud features
If Realm adds accounts or cloud storage in the future, those features will be optional and clearly labeled before any data is stored outside your device.
Planning disclaimer
Realm is an educational planning calculator, not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.
Local data controls
Clear saved plans, saved examples, audit rows, and local learning from this browser. Export anything you want to keep first.
Send feedback
Share what felt clear, confusing, broken, or worth building next.
How buckets work
Buckets are the places your monthly money is assigned. This is a simple overview; click Details on a bucket for the more specific type options and fields.
Spending
Everyday categories like rent, food, insurance, fun, travel, or misc. These usually do not need a balance.
Savings and goals
Use for emergency fund, cottage, wedding, or other target balances. Specific types may include Savings goal or Goal bucket.
Debt payoff
Monthly money in these buckets is pooled for debt payoff. Debt balances and interest rates live in Your situation or Advanced debt.
Investment and retirement
Use for 401(k), retirement, brokerage, HSA, or personal investing. Details can store growth assumptions and employer match when relevant.
Wellness
A gentle category for health, self-care, fitness, therapy, or restorative spending. Audit review can celebrate these when selected.
